guerilla truck show on fulton

last night i went to a funky furniture show that featured local designers and artists using rented moving trucks as mini showrooms of their work. it was the coolest "new york" style art show i've seen in chicago for a while. the music and weather was perfect and i especially loved the random mix of people.

after the show, i was walking down the street and saw this beautiful bronco. then i noticed the old porsche parked across the street. i lost my shit. both white (my favorite color for a car) and both in perfect condition. i love summer in the city.

my weekend with gwen and sherri

i went to the gwen stefani and akon concert on friday. we took a limo and had a picnic on the lawn. lady sovereign opened for both acts, but she was lame. i think 20,000 people is too big of a venue for her. i saw her at the empty bottle year or so ago and thought she was much better. and damn, akon can dance. fun! i co-hosted sherri's baby shower on sunday. she's super preggers. wow. i can't wait to meet her new baby, due around august 13th ish. here are my pics from both events.
